& design curator Philip Fimmano highlighted the intense return of old techniques within fashion and interior and a pull from the younger generation to connect with their grandparents.

Represented by a jam narrative this concept reveals the notion of intergenerational connectedness and sentiment which is highlighted through old recipes being passed down within families.

Following along with the jam story is the idea of a warm cup of tea and a sweet treat to ease the weight of any everyday troubles. Within the younger generation, it is a challenge not to get caught up in the fast-paced wave of life although, with the ripple of sustainability and the urge to slow down everyone is being drawn back to basics. Returning to the raw, handwritten recipes, stripping them back and enjoying the imperfect process of crafting something is becoming exceedingly more significant.
